Location: Hamilton Central Library (4th floor) – 55 York BLVD, Hamilton, ON

Join us for this fantastic event that brings together a wonderful community of garden-minded vendors, environmental groups, and local organizations. Seedy Saturday is the ‘go-to’ place for anyone and everyone interested in backyard gardening, edible gardening, pollinator gardens, sustainability, heirloom and organic seed supplies, and more! Join us to enjoy a wide range of vendors and exhibitors.

This public event will celebrate gardening in Hamilton with a focus on sustainable, local practices and products, including:

  • A community seed exchange
  • Seed and garden supply vendors selling quality seeds with heritage and heirloom varieties
  • Free garden workshops and educational demonstrations throughout the day
  • Opportunities for meeting and networking with local gardeners, experts, community groups
  • Children’s activities

Bus Routes:
Any bus that stops at the MacNab Street Terminal and/or at King & James St
HSR 7 – Locke EB @ Bus Stop # 2986HSR 8 – York EB @ Bus Stop # 2986HSR 4 – Bayfront EB @ Bus Stop # 1014The MacNab bus terminal is a short walk through Jackson Square

Bike racks: 

Located in front of the Market just west of the York Boulevard entrance, next to the Hamilton Public Library. A Hamilton Bike Share hub is just steps from the York Boulevard entrance.

 

2. Parking:
Public parking lots are located in the immediate vicinity. Free 1-hour public parking is available at the York Boulevard Parkette.
OTHER PARKING
Other nearby parking lots can be found at 96 James St North, 80 Main St West, 14 Vine St, 106 Bay St North, and 22 Bay St North at King St West.

3. Directions 

Directions From Toronto:
Take Highway 401 to Highway 403.
Exit at York Boulevard.
Follow York Boulevard past Bay Street and FirstOntario Centre.
The library is on the right-hand side.
Directions From Niagara Falls:
Take QEW Westbound to Highway 403, Hamilton
Exit at York Boulevard.
Follow York Boulevard past Bay Street and FirstOntario Centre.
The library is on the right-hand side.
Directions From Brantford:
Take Highway 403 to Hamilton.
Exit at Main Street East.
Follow Main Street to Bay Street.
Turn left onto Bay Street.
Follow Bay Street to York Boulevard and turn right past FirstOntario Centre
