EcoHouse open house, part of Ontario Green Energy Field Day: Sept 24, 2011
EcoHouse will be hosting a solar open-house event on Saturday Sept 24, 2011, from 12 pm – 3pm, as part of the Green Energy Field Day, an initiative of the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA). This province-wide event features local businesses, farms, schools, companies and organizations highlighting their green energy projects.
EcoHouse, at 22 Veevers Drive, Hamilton, will be open to the public from 12 pm - 3 pm on Sept 24th. Green Venture is unveiling our newly installed MicroFIT solar PV system, which provides electricity to the hydro grid from the building’s rooftop. Come see how a solar project went from conception to completion. Chat with a Certified Energy Advisor, about the virtues of MicroFIT solar, and see how the new system works in conjunction with the older self-contained net-metered solar PV system also on the grounds.
The open house event is free, and pre-registration is not required. Self-guided tours of the remainder of EcoHouse are available. Call 905-540-8787, ext 115 for more information or visit http://ecohouse.greenventure.ca
Other participating Green Energy Field Day locations so far include Toronto, Cobden, Reaboro and Mississauga, with scheduled events ranging from biogas facility tours to a photovoltaic design and installation course.
