Did you know that a vehicle with just one tire under-inflated by 8 psi uses 4% more fuel, and the life expectancy of the tire decreases by 15,000km?  What's more, according to the Rubber Association of Canada, tire under-inflation is the most common cause of tire failure, leads to accidents and causes Canadians to waste an estimated 643 million litres of fuel annually.  That's an extra 1.5 million tonnes of global warming greenhouse gases that can be eliminated just by checking (and maintaining) vehicle tire pressures once per month.

That's why Green Venture is partnering with Clean Air Hamilton and Canadian Tire to hold a series of Free Tire Pressure Clinics.

August 13, 2011: 10 am – 2 pm at Canadian Tire Upper Gage (601 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton)
August 20, 2011: 10 am – 2 pm at Canadian Tire Ancaster (1060 Wilson St. West, Ancaster)

By investing 5 minutes at a Tire Pressure Clinic, drivers will learn just how easy it is to check and maintain their vehicle’s tire pressures and receive an EcoDriver Kit and a free tire pressure gauge.
