Akira Ourique, Program Assistant - Environmental Education
Akira recently graduated from Niagara College’s Horticulture Technician Program. He is passionate about social/climate justice, food security and permaculture, community building and mutual aid, and empowering youth through activism. In his downtime, Akira enjoys volunteering, drying foraged herbs, and hiking. Akira envisions a more inclusive Hamilton; with shady trees, community fridges, public benches, and water fountains.
