WHAT IS OPENING DAY?
Opening Day is one of my favorite days of the year: every single community gardener is invited to come to their garden to say hi, check out what’s new, and get planting.
It’s a time when friendships are re-kindled or made anew. It’s a time when folks learn what it means to be a community gardener, it’s a time when folks find out a lot of the important nuts and bolts about their garden.
We ask that gardeners attend Opening Day rain or shine, blizzard or blinding sun. We want to see you, selfishly, and we have some important things to share.
Our small but mighty team at Green Venture will be working at the garden in the upcoming weeks prepping for the season and will be allocating plots to new gardeners.
GARDEN OPENING DAY
Date: Tuesday, May 10, 2022
Starting bright and early at 9am we will be tidying up composters, mulching, litter clean up, and identifying areas that need fixing.
Wear layers of clothing to protect from sun, bring water. If you can, bring snacks to share and we’ll have a good day!
