About our Corporate Sponsorship Program

Green Venture is an established and impactful non-profit environmental organization that works to empower Hamiltonians to implement greener practices in their homes and communities to make our city a climate champion.

By supporting workshops, events and Green Venture corporate programs, every dollar goes towards sustaining our programs that broaden the awareness about climate change and other issues. Green Venture reaches over 15,000 Hamilton residents each year. 

There are many ways to get involved in the corporate sponsorship program. Your business can:

  1. Sponsor a public workshop
  2. Participate in an eco-conscious, outdoor team building event
  3. Be part of an EcoHouse workbee and retreat

Sponsor a public workshop

Admin Fee:$150

Help sponsor a Green Venture workshop for kids, youth or adults. Workshops will be presented to the Urban Gardening Club members, volunteers and student groups. Receive recognition on our blog, newsletter and social media for your support!

Workshop length: 1-2 hours

Workshop topics at EcoHouse or a partner site could include:

  • Vermicomposting
  • Plant care
  • Container gardening
  • Identifying invasive species
  • Growing your own food
  • Gardening basics

Team Building Outdoors

Admin Fee: $250 per event

Length: 1-3 hours

Max participants: 50

  • Get your team outside and give back to the community!
  • Receive recognition on our blog, newsletter and social media for your support 
  • Receive all the cleaning and maintenance supplies required 
  • Includes a training for your staff on biodiversity, invasive species removal and other ecological topics 
  • Outdoor team building activity that may include:
    • Removing invasive species; helping to weed, mulch, water, and tend to plants
    • Litter cleanups
  • Low-waste refreshments (for an additional fee)

EcoHouse workbee and retreat

Admin Fee: $600-$1000

Max participants: 30

Length: 2-4 hours (half-day) or 4-7 hours (full-day)

Use the EcoHouse property for a retreat day with staff. 3 rooms that fit 8-10 people each, includes full kitchen, bathroom and outdoor seating for 40+. Break up the meetings by getting your hands dirty and removing invasive species, participating in a self-guided tour of the property, or playing lawn games.

Includes: 

  • All tools and materials for outdoor maintenance and ecological training by staff 
  • Basic office supplies such as markers, pens, notepads, sticky notes
  • Complimentary tea and coffee
  • Low-waste refreshments (for an additional fee) 

Tasks and activities could include:

  • Removing invasive species at EcoHouse
  • Repairing garden beds 
  • Reflective walk on the property
  • Bird watching
  • and more!
