It’s Bike Month in Hamilton, and we’re gearing up for a great month of cycling! From seasoned riders, to cycling commuters, to biking beginners, we invite all Hamiltonians to get out there and join in Cycling in the City with Green Venture. Did we mention that every ride counts as a chance to win some sweet cycling prizes?
How Can I Get Involved?
If you’re new to cycling or a seasoned rider looking to refresh your knowledge of rules on the road, we’re here to help! We know that it can be intimidating to learn the rules of the road and to know how to cycle safely. Green Venture will be sharing tips, information, and resources throughout Bike Month to help you on your way to becoming a cycling aficionado!
To celebrate Bike Month, Green Venture invites you to Cycle in the City with us for the chance to win one of two prizes: a first draw prize of a $75 dollar gift card, and a second draw prize of a $25 dollar gift card, to your choice of any local bike shop, or Hamilton Bike Share.
Every ride you make before June 30, 2021 will count as an entry!
How Can I Enter the Contest?
Edit: Please note that the contest is now closed and the contest winners have been contacted. Thank you to everyone who Cycled in the City with us this Bike Month – we hope you enjoyed the ride and learned something new!
Starting on Monday June 7, 2021, every bike ride completed from June 7th to June 30, 2021 (max. 1 ride submission per day) will count as one entry. Submit your entries to our Google Form here. Proof of your ride can include: A picture of you while riding, a picture of your view on your ride, or a screenshot of your route. Please fill out a separate form for each entry and enjoy the ride!
For FIVE bonus entries into the contest, we encourage all road users to practice cycling safety by taking the CAN-BIKE e-learning course here! The course takes approximately 45 minutes and reviews bike safety practices for all road users. Whether you’re just learning the rules of the road, or looking for a refresher, we all benefit from safe, shared roads! Completion of the CAN-BIKE course is completely optional. *Limit one CAN-BIKE completion submission per person for the duration of the contest.
The more you cycle, the more chances you have to win! Prizes will be drawn at random following the end of the contest on June 30, 2021. The first place draw will receive a $75 gift card to their choice of Hamilton Bike Share or a local bike shop of their choice. The second place draw winner will receive a $25 gift card to their choice of Hamilton Bike Share or a local bike shop of their choice. Winners will be contacted via email by Green Venture on July 2, 2021 to claim and select their prize.
