Join us at 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 7th as we keep our 2021 Mini Forest tree planting at Windermere Basin Park looking tree-mendous. The trees planted back in the fall of 2021 deserve some TLC. Tasks include invasive species removal and general clean-up maintenance. This is a great opportunity for youth looking to gain extra community hours.
What to Bring / Wear: Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Bring a reusable water bottle to refill at our water station. We will provide garden gloves, hand shovels, and other tools. Please feel free to bring your own gloves and tools. Masks are encouraged when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Transportation + Parking: Green Venture encourages active and sustainable transportation. Lakeland Loop Bus Stop servicing route 56 is near the pedestrian access to the Windermere Basin Park. Bikes can be brought to the planting area. Limited parking is available at 447 Eastport Dr, Hamilton, ON L8H 7S3.
