Although Communi-TREE will wrap up at the end of September, the fun will not stop when it comes to restoring the City by planting Hamilton’s first tiny forest using the Miyawaki Forest Method!
Green Venture and CanPlant have partnered up together, with the support from the City of Hamilton Forestry Department, to plant 300 trees at Windermere Basin Park.
What is the Miyawaki Forest Method? Miyawaki Forests are small-scale densely planted native urban forests developed by Japanese botanist, Akira Miyawaki, to restore the degraded lands in urban cities.
