Join us from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29 as we keep our 2023 tree planting at Windermere Basin Park looking tree-rific! Tasks include invasive species removal and general clean-up maintenance. This is a great opportunity for youth looking to gain extra community hours.
What to Bring / Wear: Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Bring a reusable water bottle to refill at our water station. We will provide garden gloves, hand shovels, and other tools. Please feel free to bring your own gloves and tools.
Transportation + Parking: Green Venture encourages active and sustainable transportation. Lakeland Loop Bus Stop servicing route 56 is near the pedestrian access to the Windermere Basin Park. Bikes can be brought to the stewardship area. Limited parking is available at 447 Eastport Dr, Hamilton, ON L8H 7S3.
Please complete our volunteer waiver before you sign up! Green Venture volunteer waiver forms must be completed annually, if you already completed a waiver in 2024, you don’t need to submit another one.
