Spring is in the air, seeds are sprouting, and it’s time to get some new plants into the ground. Our Green Venture youth, in partnership with Youth Power 4 Climate Justice, are leading this year’s Spring Seedling sale to raise funds towards programs that empower youth to be environmental leaders in Hamilton.
When and where?
Our seedlings will be available at two locations on two dates coming up!
Date: May 11, 2024
Time: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Laidlaw United Church, 155 Ottawa St N
It will be bustling on May 11th, as Sew Hungry takes over Ottawa St with food trucks and restaurant options. Green Venture will be present with several activities around Laidlaw United Church from 10:00am-2:00pm. In addition to the seedling sale, there will be an alleyway planting event beside the church and a community plant swap. We recommend taking the bus, cycling or walking to the event.

Location: EcoHouse, 22 Veevers Dr
A second opportunity to pick up seedlings will be available on Monday, May 13th at EcoHouse.
How to Prepare
Don’t forget to bring a box or tray with you to carry your new seedlings home. We will not be accepting debit or credit so come prepared with cash or make an e-transfer to director@greenventure.ca
Please note: all seedling sales are first come-first served. There are limited quantities of all of the seedlings and once they are gone, they’re gone.
