Nicole is a highly motivated project coordinator with many years of experience working with social impact and nonprofit organizations. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship and a fellowship in Social Impact and Technology, she is currently pursuing a certificate in Community Engagement, Leadership, and Development. Nicole strongly believes in the transformative power of community and is eager to leverage her skills for the betterment of the environment. Outside of work, you’ll catch Nicole gardening, stargazing, and embarking on a dedicated quest to pet every dog.

Sarah has a deep and enduring zeal for wild places which led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Forest Conservation from the University of Toronto. With a diverse background in nonprofit and private sector work, she is enthusiastic about working alongside the local community to improve and protect green spaces while promoting greener habits. At Green Venture, she hopes to contribute to a more environmentally equitable city that improves the lives and experiences of all residents.

Meghan is a recent graduate of McMaster University for Honours Environmental Science with a passion for environmental education and sustainability. Through her role as an Education Program Assistant, she hopes to help encourage youth to learn more about the environment and engage with their local community responsibly. Meghan’s excited to get to know the community here in Hamilton and learn about new ways in which we can play a role in innovating greener cities. In her free time, she enjoys gardening in her backyard, painting, and reading.

Mackenzie comes to Green Venture with a background in biology, environmental conservation, and media production. He is passionate about teaching the community how to protect and preserve the earth we all rely on in a variety of ways.

Akira recently graduated from Niagara College’s Horticulture Technician Program. He is passionate about social/climate justice, food security and permaculture, community building and mutual aid, and empowering youth through activism. In his downtime, Akira enjoys volunteering, drying foraged herbs, and hiking.

Annabella has recently graduated from the Master of Forest Conservation program at the University of Toronto. As a city girl, Annabella is passionate about bringing nature back into the city and connecting with it. She loves to go for long hikes and to discover new places. Annabella is excited to join the Green Venture team as the Urban Forest Project Coordinator and connecting with the local community.
