Adding native plants in our gardens, balconies, yards, and parks – even small patches – helps to build a more resilient, sustainable, and healthy Hamilton. Adding native plants helps pollinators thrive, supports biodiversity to expand, and helps make our city greener.
That’s why Green Venture is excited to announce our 2021 Plant Sale and Share. Where you can buy a plant, share a plant, and ‘bee’come an Eco-House Pollinator Pal by growing native plants and sharing seeds. Below is everything you need to know about the 2021 Plant Sale & Share.

PLANT SHARE
You can share your extra locally native plants with us! We grew many types of native plants for our sale and to plant at EcoHouse, but we love native plants and we are always happy to expand our collection. So, if you have a locally native plant (in a pot) that is not on our list, and you want to share it, we’re happy to trade one for one. In the ordering form, please be sure to check out the box for trading a plant and let us know which native plant variety you’d like to share.
BEE A Pollinator Pal
When you place your order you can also let us know if you’d like to be an EcoHouse Pollinator Pal. Pollinator Pals can select several native plant seed packs which they will grow. As a Pal you will commit to starting these seeds and sharing any extra seedlings back to us next season – so we can keep the sale and share going! Don’t worry if you’ve never started native plants before, we’ll send seed starting and potting up instructions.
