Our October Rethink Giveaway is running across three of our social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Enter to win a 30.00 dollar gift card to a Hamilton area eco-friendly business on your favouirte platform, or better yet on all three!
How to enter:
- Make sure you are following @green_venture (for Instagram & TikTok) or like our page @GreenVentureHamilton (Facebook)
- Like/react to the post
- Tag a friend who you think should join us in our #OctoberRethink
- Comment on the post and tell us your favourite waste rethink. This can include:
- A product that you realized you didn’t really need after all and stopped buying entirely
I.E. eliminating drinking straws from your routine - An item that you were able to repurpose to take the place of something that you otherwise would have bought new
I.E. using the jar from pasta sauce as a flower vase - An upcycle of an item destined to be disposed of that took the place of something you otherwise would have bought new
I.E using cardboard boxes and an old stained sheet to create decorative storage boxes - Comments that are inappropriate or offensive will be deleted
- A product that you realized you didn’t really need after all and stopped buying entirely

- Share a photo of a waste rethink you’ve done to your social media page using the hashtag #OctoberRethink and don’t forget to tag us!
- On TikTok:
- Share a waste rethink you’ve done to your page by dueting our video and use the hashtag #OctoberRethink and don’t forget to tag us!
Rules:
Giveaway begins Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at 4pm EST and closes Sunday, October 31st, 2021 at 11:59PM EST. We will post the winner(s) names in the comments of the original post(s) Monday, November 1st. The randomly chosen winner(s), or their adult representative (if winner is under 18 years of age), will have to get in touch by emailing contest@greenventure.ca within 2 days, otherwise we’ll randomly select another winner. No purchase necessary to enter. The giveaway is only open to residents of Canada ages 13+ (excluding Quebec), and is running across three platforms: Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. The prize is a credit valued at $30.00 to an eco-friendly business of choice within the greater Hamilton area. There are a maximum of three (3) winners for this giveaway, one (1) per platform, and odds are based on the total number of entries. Bonus entries will only be counted if profiles are public.
