On May 6th, 2023, our in-person seedling sale event returns on the weekend of Doors Open Hamilton . Join us at Green Ventures EcoHouse, 22 Veevers Drive, Hamilton, ON L8K5P5 for a fun-filled family friendly event from 10:00am-4:00pm.
Shop a wide assortment of organic seedlings while taking in the rich history of EcoHouse and all it has to offer. There is no better way to get your vegetable garden off to a roaring start!
All of your garden seedlings are being grown at EcoHouse by our dedicated garden staff and students and are growing right alongside the plants we grow for our gardens at EcoHouse, so you know they are top quality. We aim to grow seedlings as sustainably as possible, including sourcing seeds locally from saved seeds from the Hamilton Seed Library , William Dams, and heirloom seeds from Seeds of Diversity, reusing potting materials otherwise destined for landfill, and providing nutrients to seedlings from worm leachate harvest from our on site vermicomposters. We are committed to implementing greener practices in our home and gardens, so that you can too!
There are limited quantities of all of the seedlings and once they are gone, they’re gone. So don’t delay, get your garden stocked today!
How the Seeding Sale Works:
In-person shopping will happen on May 6, 2023. Guests can drop in anytime from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at EcoHouse.

Make payment. Be prepared to pay in cash or send an e-transfer to director@greenventure. We encourage guests to bring their own box or bag to carry their seedlings after purchase. Please note we recommend several days of hardening off before planting your seedlings in their permanent homes.
